What is Stage Payment Protection?

Stage payments are instalments paid by the homeowner during the contract period prior to completion. When registered correctly, staged payments are protected (subject to Terms & Conditions). Stage Payment Protection helps protect payments made during the installation of:

• Conservatories
• Orangeries
• Sun Rooms
• Sun Lounges
• Porches

It applies if your installer ceases trading after work has started but before the project is completed.

Payment limits:

• Stage Payment 1:
  • Up to 50% of the Contract Price; or
  • Where a separate deposit is paid, up to 25%.
• Stage Payment 2:
  • Up to 75% of the Contract Price; or
  • Where a deposit and Stage 1 are paid separately, up to 25%.

Staged Payment Protection lasts for:

• 4 months from the order date, or
• Until works are completed (whichever occurs first).
