What is CE Marking for the window industry?

From 1st July 2013, the Construction Product Directive (CPD) is replaced by the Construction Products Regulation, CPR 305/2011, which makes it mandatory within the EU for construction products covered by a harmonised European standard to be CE marked.

The CE Mark shows that a product meets the requirements for health and safety regulations across the EU.  While the UK has now left the EU, this standard has been retained until at least the end of 2021.  After the process of departure is completed, the CE mark may be replaced with a new identifier that will meet the same overall standards.

CE marks are placed by the manufacturer to show that the product meets the correct standards.  These standards are regularly assessed for compliance meaning that you can trust the identifier when it is displayed on a product.  You will be able to find the CE mark on all VEKA products.
