Should my installer comply to MTC?

All window installers must comply to Minimum Technical Competency Rules*  'MTC' (*England & Wales only)

MTC is part of the Competent Persons Scheme, a government run initiative managed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), which enables companies such as window installers to certify their own work rather than needing a building inspector.  The standards required to be part of the Competent Persons Scheme are high and regularly assessed to ensure that work which is certified under the scheme meets standards for safety and quality.
