The Conformitè Europëenne (CE) Mark is a European standard which demonstrates that a product meets the safety requirements set out by the EU. It is an important standard for any product which is sold across the EU and a legal requirement for many items.
CE marking is required for many products such as UPVC Windows and it shows that the manufacturer meets EU safety, health or environmental requirements. In itself, the CE Mark is an indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation and also allows the free movement of products within the European market.
The CE Mark is placed on a product by the manyufacturer as a declaration of conformity with the legal reuqirements and these are periodically assessed.
